Discovering jiggle-chunks and other good things in Urenui 10/13/2017 Last week we spent a few days in Urenui, a seaside town 30 minutes north of New Plymouth, in New Zealand’s beautiful Taranaki region. We made some interesting discoveries. We were 100 metres to a gorgeous black sand beach, with boulders to scramble over, sand to write messages on, and smooth stones to hold (and then put back). The beach was book-ended by majestic cliffs and rocky outcrops. 100 metres away from our bach (i.e. small holiday home), 90 degrees to the south, was an estuary. Perfect
